I am a postaphobic. I rarely post, but today I actually have something to share. Last night my daughter and I went to see EasyA. It is a great, funny, thoughtful, feminist, sex-positive movie and I adored it. Later on I went to This review and read it. Although the review was positive the ending infuriated me the because reviewer ended the review with
A feminist variation on a beloved, literary classic which triumphantly announces that in the 21st Century it's a woman's prerogative to be the town tramp if she darn well wants to.
.

So I responded

By Kam Williams

Kam Williams entered a theater to watch a movie called EasyA. He came in with preconceived notions and a sex negative viewpoint.

What Kam didn't know, is that EasyA was a funny, thoughtful, witty movie about rumors, underlying sexism and the hypocrisy that exists in American life

Curiously, instead of trying to understand the POV of the movie Mr. Williams decides to validate the exact subjects that EasyA was satirizing.

There, in full view of all of his readers, Mrs Williams decides to prove that he considers women who have sex out of marriage tramps.

Published by News Blaze, Mr. Williams review is actually better written than his disgusting anti-woman scree at the end. That's thanks to a sense of fairness towards good writing and acting, Mr. Williams manages to hold off his judgmental viewpoint for most of his review

Sadly, at the end of the day Mr. Williams statement that the movie is "A feminist variation on a beloved, literary classic which triumphantly announces that in the 21st Century it's a woman's prerogative to be the town tramp if she darn well wants to." proves that Mr. Williams is a movie critic whose continued employment shows that he can be a misogynist douchebag if he darn well wants to.

Above until the ending statement

Rated misogynist and sexist due to extreme slut shaming and non-criticism of the people who use Olive and betray her.

"There's no equality until a woman can have sex like a man and not get called a tramp.".

And they are actually going to print it on the editorial page! I'm so excited.
